River Music of the Valley
Many hit songs have been written or recorded on the Tennessee River, a few hit songs have even been about the Tennessee River or mentioned it specifically. Special thanks to Patterson Hood and Drive-By Truckers for all their wisdom and support. Patterson is from Florence, Alabama across the Tennessee River from Muscle Shoals. He was born into the region's legendary musical tapestry and is the leader of the Valley's next generation of music legends. Patterson Hood and his family have played an important role in the creation of Tennessee Riverkeeper.
